Patrick A. Long
Patrick A. Long founded Long & Delis in 1989. His distinguished career of thirty-eight plus years in the legal profession has involved a vast array of practice areas, including insurance defense, professional liability, medical matters, transportation litigation, commercial litigation, intellectual property matters, construction disputes, product liability aviation law, and mediation matters. He is an accomplished trial lawyer, and has been elected by his colleagues to leadership roles in numerous legal organizations.
Pat’s service and dedication to the legal profession include the following activities, positions, publications and commendations: Southern California Super Lawyers, 2004 through 2011; Association of Southern California Defense Counsel President, 1991; DRI President, 2006 through 2007; Editor-in-Chief Verdict Magazine, 1993 to 2007; Lecturer, Paralegal Program, University of California, Irvine, 2005; Faculty Member, Loyola School of Law, Journalist Law School, June 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2011; Lecturer on Voir Dire, American Board of Trial Advocates, Ultimate California Trial Notebook Presentation, 1997; and IADC Trial Academy Faculty Member, University of Colorado, 1998.
Pat obtained his pilot’s license in 1982 and his motorcycle license in 1984. Pat is a graduate of San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern Law School.
In his spare time, Pat is working on the Great American Novel involving insurance fraud and one of Charlie Parker’s lost saxophones.

John A. Delis
John A. Delis is a partner in the Santa Ana office of Long & Delis. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cal State Fullerton in 1985, and his Juris Doctor degree from Western State University College of Law in 1990. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1990.
Since joining Long & Delis in January, 1991, Mr. Delis has litigated a broad range of complex cases, including the Jack in the Box E. coli cases, business tort/trade secret dispute cases involving oil refinery distributors, environmental insurance disputes, and wrongful death/catastrophic injury claims. He has also litigated commercial and residential construction defect cases defending all trades, from developers, general contractors, framers, and roofers to concrete, soils, sheet metal and insulation subcontractors.
Mr. Delis’ trial experience includes personal injury matters, real estate disputes, complex business litigation cases, and land use claims. He has defended through trial corporate defendants involved in trade secret, misappropriation and unfair business practices claims. He has prosecuted title and contract disputes on behalf of ninety (90) homeowners against the California Coastal Commission. He has defended corporate clients in premises liability matters. In addition, Mr. Delis has appellate experience in the fields of construction and business litigation.
His wide range of trial experience gives him the expertise necessary to provide clients with a prompt, honest and practical evaluation of their legal rights and objectives at the earliest opportunity. His multi-faceted background ensures that each client will be provided a candid assessment of the pros and cons of his or her case, and that he or she will be vigorously represented throughout the litigation process.

Thomas Patrick Long
Thomas Patrick Long is a partner in the Los Angeles County office of Long & Delis. Mr. Long has practiced law since 1996 when he was admitted to the California State Bar.
Mr. Long received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arizona in 1992, and his Juris Doctor degree from Western State University College of Law in 1996.
Mr. Long has the same passion and enthusiasm for the law that he did as a young lawyer fresh out of law school. His approach to practicing law remains the same as he continues to believe strongly in the phrase, “Client first.”
Mr. Long is a tested and proven trial lawyer. He specializes in representing developers, large scale contractors, subcontractors, transportation companies, and state and local municipalities in a variety of matters, including actions involving construction defect, wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Long has personally handled hundreds of complex lawsuits and claims involving virtually all aspects of construction, including construction zone safety, alleged construction defects, and contractor-subcontractor disputes. His experience in this area of the law has provided Mr. Long with a unique insight into the daily challenges the construction professional faces.
Mr. Long believes one of the greatest attributes a lawyer can possess is the ability to vigorously advocate a client’s objectives and interests, while also keeping in mind how the realities of litigation affect ongoing business concerns.
Warren B. Campbell
Warren B. Campbell is an Attorney at Long & Delis in its Orange County office in Santa Ana. After completing his legal studies, Mr. Campbell served in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he gained substantial courtroom experience by participating in more than 300 jury and non-jury trials.
Mr. Campbell began practicing law with a regional law firm in Houston. He then moved to the Los Angeles area and practiced law with Patrick Long from 1984 until 1988.
Mr. Campbell then rejoined Mr. Long at Long & Delis in 2004. His active trial and appellate practice emphasizes the representation of business entities, individuals and insurers in litigation matters involving business, construction defect, products liability, personal injury and insurance coverage.
Mr. Campbell received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Los Angeles in 1972, and his Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1976. Additionally, he performed post-graduate studies in accountancy at the University of Houston.
Mr. Campbell was admitted to the California State Bar in 1976, and the Texas State Bar in 1981. He has also been admitted to the following bars: United States Court of Military Appeals; United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit; and the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Texas, the Central and Southern Districts of California, and the Eastern District of Michigan.
David E. Szymanski
David E. Szymanski is an Attorney at Long & Delis in its Orange County office in Santa Ana.
Mr. Szymanski received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, with a concentration in Management Information Systems, from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 2000.
After he was awarded an academic scholarship award, Mr. Szymanski attended California Western School of Law and obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2005.
While in law school, Mr. Szymanski was a two-time recipient of the State Bar of California’s Wiley W. Manuel’s Pro Bono Services Award for his work with indigent families and foster children with learning disabilities.
Mr. Szymanski was admitted to the California State Bar in 2005, and joined Long & Delis in November of 2007.
At Long & Delis, Mr. Szymanski practices business litigation, personal injury litigation, and construction litigation.
